Departure for the Library

• the expeditionary forces make their final preparations and begin to depart
  • Yvelia purchases supplies
  • CARL buys a new hat (sunhat)
• Cynlant sends Kalissa Dragar suggesting an “outpost wide” greater restoration
  • she responds “what outpost?” with a sense of uncertainty
• the leaders of the expeditionary forces discuss the travel plans
• Oneshoe joins the scouts along with Ront and Droopy

Journey to the Library

Day 1

• Oneshoe is forced to quickly adapt to the speedy pace of the scouting party
  • she sees their skills in navigation, trap detection, and stealth
• later into the night, after Oneshoe enter her corpselike dream state, Cynlant walks near her tent
• as Sister leaves for the night she sees Cynlant grinning and sighs
• he sprouts his wings, carrying her tent to the 50ft tall cavern ceiling
  • using multiple javelins he pins her tent to the cavern wall and ceiling

Day 3

• the forces start breaking down camp
• Oneshoe awakens, feeling herself cocooned
  • she opens her tent to see a grinning Cynlant and Yl’lib

This is how you keep a prisoner!!! Consider this on the job training. Step 1: isolate and don’t let them leave.

• Cynlant yells up
• Oneshoe flies out and makes futile attempts to unpin the tent
• she resorts to eldritch blasting the stone to free her tent

The next few days of travel are mostly uneventful.

• Cynlant continues training Oneshoe on prisoner detention

Day 5

🌋🐦️ Lava Field

• the navigation ring guides Oneshoe and the scouting party to a lava field

• Oneshoe decides to cross with the scouts and leave markers on the safe path

• the remaining forces eventually arrive

• Glabagool dimension doors across with Sheldon

• as the remaining forces make it halfway a loud flapping of wings is heard

  • Vrocks appear

• CARL marks a target and then cocks and fires his thunderbuss

  • it is bleeding but still looks fairly composed

• Yvelia swirls magic about her entering innate sorcery and casts a spell but the target vrock manages to barely shrug it off

• Glabagool slug climbs on the cavern wall and fires a lining bolt

  • the Vrocks that are hit don’t seem greatly affected by it

• Cynlant sprouts his wings and begins attacking a Vrock in the hair

  • one of the Vrocks lets out a piercing scream
  • another Vrock moves closer and shurgs off a nasty cloud of spores, poisioning Ally and the CARLs
  • the remaining Vrocks claw at Cynlant

• Ally hastes Cynlant

• CARL is standing stunned by the Vrock’s scream

• Yvelia attempts to cast her spell again, but with heightened metamagically,

• Cynlant eviscerates one of the Vrocks

  • then brutalizes another

• the Vrocks attack

  • two of them atttempt and fail to grapple Yvelia and Ally
  • the other two attack Cynlant

• Ally coughs as a result of the musty spores, losing concentration and causing a wave of lethargy to wash over Cynlant

• CARL stands incapacitated

• Yvelia fires eldritch blasts at the Vrocks, killing one of them

• Glabagool viciously mocks them

• Cynlant drools a little

• the Vrocks attempt to grapple Ally and Yvelia but grievously fail

• Ally eldritchally blasts

• CARL shoots at a Vrock

• Yvelia blasts at another Vrock

• Glabagool mocks another Vrock

• Cynlant critically stabs at the neck of a Vrock, popping its head off in an explosion of sulfuric ichor

• the last Vrock flees, not before being bloodied by Cynlant’s attack of opportunity

• the group does not give chase

Scouting Party

• the scouting party hears the ordered march of Modrons

  • they hide

• Oneshoe whispers to Eldeth, asking if they have seen these before

  • she has not

• the group is rather large

• Oneshoe detects the thoughts of one

  • “March, March, March. Watch for enemies of Primus”
  • she recognises Primus is the god of Mechanus

• Eldeth says that they likely are not enemies but there is no need to expose the scouting group to additional risk

• Oneshoe decides to step out and speak with the group

• they start speaking “ENEMY OF PRIMUS. ENEMY OF PRIMUS”

• the Modrons attack Oneshoe

• she speaks again “I am not an enemy of Primus”

• she probes deeper into the leaders mind but finds more of the same

• they continue to attack her

• after watching Oneshoe become a pincushion and punching bag Eldeth orders the scouting forces to charge

  • she slashes at two duodrones, killing them immediately
  • they disintegrate into dust

• Ront and Droopy also decide to peek out

  • they attack, with each blow instantly disintegrating the Modrons

• the scouts make short work with the rest of them

• Eldeth questions Oneshoe if the excursion was worth it

• she laments that it was not

• Droopy screams at Oneshoe ENEMY OF PRIMUS

End of the Day

• once forces meet up for camp Droopy starts screaming ENEMY OF PRIMUS again
  • CARL joins in
  • Cynlant sits down and legend lores Primus
• Oneshoe apologizes to all of the scout force
• Droopy and Ront get practice swords and attack Oneshoe
  • they keep chanting ENEMY OF PRIMUS
• the rest of the night is uneventful
• the following days are standard Underdark adventuring
  • the boyscouts give Oneshoe a near-hazing level of sword training

Day 12

• the forces travel through the caverns
• long tunnels dot the caverns
  • they were carved out by purple worms
• Wormwrithings
  • old purple worm tunnels

Otyugh

• bodies of gnolls and ettins litter the cavern floor
  • it looks like they were fighting
• Otyugh are devouring the fetid corpses
• the forces decide to ignore them

Friendly Flumph Frolic

• Cynlant and Yvelia spot Flumphs in the distance
• Oneshoe approaches and says “Hi”
  • it responds “Hi”
• they are peaceful
• they are on the move since they have been “disturbed by powerful thoughts”
  • they’re mission is to spread kindness
  • one of them gives an awkward smile
• the powerful thoughts came from a demon
• goodbyes are said

Cynlant’s Chronicles

Cynlant sends to the Drow in the Outpost explaining the maddness and they should get Greater Restoration

Cynlant buries oneshoe horizontally and puts shuttle tent on it.

Carl has to dig out OneShoe.

We start our traveling once we get packed up

“Navigator Oneshoe” makes an appearance.

Morning of day 17 travel, after a few hours we come to a partially buried complex with a door way in front of it.

The house looks to be buried in. Yvelia finds a marking that it might be a library, CARL determines with a 6 that there is no traps confidently.

Cynlant attempts to kick the door in, barely goes in.

We all peak around the corner and look in.

Cynlant and Oneshoe enter and the rest of the party follows behind

6 skeletons and 3 flaming skulls appear

Carl shoots and does some good damage

Ront and Droopy run off and do some damage, droopy comes in and quick cleans up two skeletons

Yvelia’s spell finally goes off (she succeeds in casting it for the first time)

The flaming skull shoots a fireball at the party.

Soup heroically salutes as he disappears

One shoe gets shot with a fire bolt type attack and gets a bit charred.

Fighting continues as we begin to wittle them down. Cynlant blows them up

Cynlant stops a fireball with his special shield

We end up killing them entirely

Oneshoe and Sister dispel magic and holy water to kill the skulls

Mundane finds (in discord)

Cynlant finds a magical book blank pages - Book of instant copying with 45 blank pages Golden sphere with an amethys eye- Eye of the book wurm Staff covered in jeweled beetles- Staff of swarming insects One more book with gold and running man book- Manual of quickness of action

We look around the rest of the library for a little bit, take a short break. Ront and Droopy seem to be back on their feet.
