• the boyscouts pile the remaining corpses as an offering to the Bulette

• after a small bit of planning the partyrew continues traveling without much notable

Day 32ish

• the expedition forces make their way to a patch of faerzress
  • according to the scouts it should take about an hour to traverse
• Oneshoe and CARL notice a rock piercing sound as two Behir appear

🌩️ Behir 2: Electric Boogaloo 🌩️

• CARL starts off combat but running in while revving their bone-saw

  • their eagerness causes their first attack to go wide, as they follow up with a successful hit
  • they move away as little carl moves hacks away with a battle axe in a similar manner

• Ront flanks a Behir with little carl

  • as is his style, he bashes fast and hard
  • the poisonous energy from his weapon has no effect on the Behir

• Yvelia tossing her stone, floating up 30ft before she fires eldritch blasts

  • only one lands

• Cynlant unfurls his wings and flies to head of a Behir

  • he attacks twice, using divine smite once
  • the faerzress reacts to the smite, surging to carl and almost paralyzing it
  • as his second attacks lands, the Behir slumps into a wriggly mass

Renouncement of Faith

• after harvesting the Behir’s Droopy begins to doff his armor
• he walks over to Cynlant and says “he quits”, handing over the weapons and armor
• Droopy renounces his life as a paladin and becomes a monk through the training of the living sword Lucille
• the partyrew continues on

Fungal Village

• the scouts inform the main forces that there is an upcoming region of dense fungal growth

• a small village of lizard folk and Fomorians lie in the fungal growth

• the village folk farm mushrooms

• Oneshoe talks in excitement about meeting new friends

  • cautiously, the partyrew decides to have Oneshoe lead the conversation with the village people

• as they walk in to town, they hear thunderous steps

• One lizard person speaks with Oneshoe

  • their responses are terse
  • Oneshoe makes small talk before she pre-emptively starts walking away

• CARL hands one of the farmers a surface mushroom

  • the lizard begins to sniff it in curiosity
  • the lizard hands CARL a human tongue shaped mushroom in return
  • CARL and Oneshoe identify it as a tongue of madness mushroom

• Yvelia starts asking the lizard if they have seen any strange happenings or fiends

  • beasts have been fleeing through the cavern, scared

End of the Day

• the rest of the day is uneventful

• Na’vi uses the sling of tiny giant, badly bruising an expeditionary force member
• Ront makes a Behir and mushroom lasagna
• Yvelia and Cynlant go back and forth about contacting Cynlant’s patron
  • Cynlant believes there is a considerable chance that Granny Nightshade might be scheming against him
  • Yvelia urges him to do so, but he doesn’t relent
• Droopy tosses his ring of blasting inside of Glabagool
  • Glabagool goo blasts the ceiling, forming a smiley face
• Oneshoe asks the zhent leader if there’s anything they should do before they enter Mantol-Derith
  • Oneshoe is told they should leave the majority of the expeditionary forces outside of the outpost
  • additionally they should try their hardest to not initiate combat
