the partyrew’s cart begins to approach the mountain which houses Gauntlygrym
mithril gates and guards greet them
Oneshoe announces their business is for the summit
- a dwarf acts as a guide for the city
- she orders three mine carts to take the party in
- the partyrew will have an audience with King Brynjar, after they are shown their quarters
the boyscouts ride in one cart
- Glabagool and Oneshoe ride another
- the rest of the partyrew ride in the last
- Oneshoe hangs her head over the edge of the cart
the guide speaks with guards as the carts careen through the tunnels
a guard welcomes the party as their carts screech to a halt

in the massive cavern chamber sits a small city
ores veins are scattered about
a dwarf walks by with an iron defender
another dwarf is flanked by body guards in black leather
some passerby’s look on confused at Slicer and Francine in chainmail with leases

the guide shows the partyrew to their well furnished guest quarters

the guide provides some history about the city
- it was taken by duegar, drow, and other denizens
- King Brynjar reclaimed the city
while the partyrew is deciding on their next move, CARL steals ALL of the food
- Oneshoe and Glabagool move to eat the food but only find a single loaf of bread
- Yvelia reminds CARL that Glabagool is a growing boy, upon which they toss a pastry
- Glabagool SCHLURRPS it up in one gooey motion
a deep rumbling unlike the mine carts briefly takes hold of the caverns
Oneshoe asks a group of conversing dwarfs about the rumbling
- it is related to the sleeping primordial
- when it wakes serious rumbling occurs
Cynlant calls Oneshoe over to Ront
- he points at Ront’s new mace before stabbing her
- she is injured :O
the party decides to split into two groups
- Team Chaos goes to the Iron Tabernacle to learn of the cities history
  - Oneshoe, Glabagool
  - Bon, Slicer, Francine
  - CARL, carl
  - Kyem attempts to follow invisible
- Team Order goes to the Great Forge
  - the Boyscouts
  - Yvelia, Ally
Cynlant looks at Yvelia slightly worried, given the history of Oneshoe and Bon led adventures
the teams travel down two separate mine cart tracks

Team Chaos sees a sacked temple, defaced statues and the like
a few dwarves mill about, but it is mostly uninhabited
it becomes clear that the city has been sacked and reclaimed many, many times
Oneshoe notices a lot of the dwarves walking are actually dwarves
- they continue to work as if they never passed
a guard informs Team Chaos that the ghosts are well known, and they should avoid interacting with them
- as the guard says that CARL swipes their hand through one
- “PLEASE STOP DOING THAT!” the guard sputters out, too late to stop CARL
CARL spots a large manta ray flying up near the ceiling
- to them its just a manta ray

Team Order smell and hear the forge before they see it
rarer metals seem more commonplace
Cynlant looks around, scoping out it the arms and armor available
- Cynlant spots a shop selling +1 platemail
- it is exceptionally crafted
- a few shop attendants start to chat Cynlant up
- they chat about commissioning a custom piece
Cynlant taps his pauldron, causing his armor to fold into it
- he hands it to his the smith to combine it with the +1 platemail
- he then dons the cursed demon splint armor
Cynlant then comes across a pair of Salamander Flame Gauntlets
- after some convincing, Yvelia painfully agrees to purchase it

the teams meet back up at the quarters
- Oneshoe hands out keychains representative of the city
after a bit of waiting there is a knock
- its Eldeth!
- she will escort the partyrew to their audience with the King
Cynlant ejects ELDETH in abyssal
- CARL shutters in fear
Cynlant randomly starts barking out in Abyssal
Bon stealthily leashes Cynlant
- dwarves look on in shock, while Cynlant is none the wiser

Eldeth leads the partyrew to a mithril, silver, adamantine, and gold door
the throne room is grand with magnificent carpets, lavish food and refreshments
Eldeth curtsies before the King
- the King Brynjar greets the partyrew as honored guests
the partyrew starts to ravish the food and refreshments
Oneshoe recounts the happenings of the Underdark in excruciating detail
- she starts it by playing playing her enchant lute, and conjuring a minor illusion of the events
- it goes on for a long time
- a long time
- a very long time
- an extremely long time but a very quick pace
the scribes sigh exhausted once Oneshoe is done
the king complements Oneshoe for her quick pace, and announce the beginning of the feast
- the king wants the partyrew to meet the various factions tonight
Oneshoe listens on in the conversations of the scribes
- they are dumbfounded by Oneshoe
Eldeth leads the partyrew back to their quarters

Bon splits off from the partyrew unannounced
- no one notices, Bon tries to pull Cynlant via the leash with him
- Bon fails to move Cynlant at all, and he leaves the leash on the ground
Bon and his children then make their way to a fountain, and to the horror of everyone around, begin bathing
the rest of the partyrew continues going for a bit
eventually Cynlant stops in his tracks as he is yanked back by the leash
- he falls backwards, as the leash is tied to a nearby bench
- he glares angrily at Oneshoe, who rightfully convinces him it wasn’t her
the partyrew looks around them, realizes Bon isn’t there, panic, then run off to find him
the party gets to him while guards are trying to clothe him
- Oneshoe talks things over with the guards
- Cynlant manages to grab Bon by the scruff
Oneshoe places Bon into a polychromatic bubble, which he fights but is too weak
- she bounces him back to their quarters
back at the quarters, Cynlant begins to nap
Yl’lib taunts Oneshoe before scratching her
- Soup joins in and scratches her
- Kyem flies over, then pats her on the back
Yvelia mends Bon’s dress on the promise that he will behave
Oneshoe runs out to buy
