Battle for Blingdenstone

• the partyrew gather themselves as they slay minor oozes
• they determine to press directly forward

Outside the Orb

• with splatters and sputters the partyrew slays oozes on their approach to The Orb

• as they edge closer to The Orb, the stronger the oozes grow

  • the partyrew steels themselves for a more difficult combat

• Ront opens the combat by striking against a gelatinous cube

  • it begins to goopify, but holds its form

• Cynlant follows up by striking against another gelatinous cube

  • the cube melts around his feet

• Prince Derendil RAGES and strikes at another ooze

  • the chill of Rimecleaver doesn’t seem to hurt it that badly

• Oneshoe slinks into range and looses two eldritch blasts at a ebony pudding

  • the two blasts get absorbed in their entirety

• Bon casts a guiding bolt against the ebony pudding

  • the magic bluuuuuurrrps into the pudding, as it absorbs the magic

• combat continues, with Joaquin and Droopy striking at oozes

  • Joaquin’s bolts strike true, seriously damaging the White Maw

• an allied Earth Elemental slays a gelatinous cube with the THWUMP of its fist

• Eldeth fires a netted bolt, ensaringly striking the White Maw

• the White Maw strikes out against Prince Derendil with its pseudopods

  • all of its attacks hit, bloodying him

• the ebony pudding worbles over to Ront, latching on to him

  • his armor weakens as he becomes grappled
  • the ooze then strikes with its pseudopods, further rusting Ront’s armor and injuring him

• Jim Jar stealthy fires two crossbow bolts at the ebony pudding

• Yvelia critically blasts the White Maw with eldritch energy

  • upon getting hit, the ooze begins to schlurp but holds its form

• Glabagool says “I’m NOT very polite” as he viscously mocks the White Maw

  • though faceless, the enemy ooze seems offended

• Ront strikes downward on the ebony pudding, but instead of hurting it the ooze splits into two

  • somewhat confused, Ront cleaves into another, splitting it into two more

• a flash of light zips out of Oneshoe’s wand as a fireball erupts on the small ebony puddings

  • they seem completely unaffected by it

• Ally shoots out a pitiful blast, slightly damaging the White Maw

• Bon, runs forward to the White Maw, spreading a contagion to it

  • a necrotic energy overtakes it, which it starts to glurp apart
  • Bon hobbles off, avoiding its retaliatory strikes

• Droopy moves in to strike the ebony puddinglings with his sword

• Joaquin executes the White Maw with surgical precision, moving on to his next target as it gargles into a puddle

• the ebony puddinglings strike Ront, downing him with their acidic pseudopods

  • they attempt to hit Droopy, but fail

• Glabagool sends a healing word to Ront, returning him to his feet

• the ever-wise Ront stand up, then strikes at the ebony puddingling, downing himself with the splashback

• Cynlant moves into position with his fellow boyscouts near the ebony puddinglings

After the combat

• after the combat, the injured partyrew members heal themselves

• Kyem continues scouting ahead

• The Orb seems stripped clean, with no furniture or anything else apparent

• the Pudding King is nowhere to be found!

• the cavern is covered in a green slippery slime

• the clamouring of battle echoes through the Blingdenstone cave system

Onward Assault

• Oneshoe suggest to one of the druids to conjure up stone walls to seal off The Orb

• the partyrew continues to advance deeper, towards an unmapped area

• in the back of a large chamber, water runs down the far wall

  • stronger oozes begin to approach the partyrew

• Bon heals more of the frontliners before the oozes attacks

• Ront’s muscles begin to poke out as his armor looks close to falling apart

• Prince Derendil is the first to act

  • he runs forward RAGES and slays an acid jelly
  • he winces as some of the goop splashes back on to him

• Cynlant moves forward and becomes invisible

• Glabagool holds some very mean words, which he prepares to say if an ooze moves close enough to hear it

• Yvelia hastes Ront while Ally eldritch blasts a shimmering ooze

• Ront moves as a blur towards the scariest ooze, and strikes thrice

  • he hits critically, but the ooze holds its form as normal

• an ooze attempts to whip Ront with its semisolid tentacles

  • he moves as a blur to dodge most of the strikes, but accidentally dodges into two swipes

• Eldeth fires an ensnaring bolt at the shimmering ooze

  • she hits critically with her second bolt

• Bon limps his old body forward, summoning a tidal wave on the enemy combatants

  • one of the oozes seems completely unaffected by his spell

• the allied earth elemental moves into range and slams an ooze

• the remaining acid jelly hits sputters acid at Ront, singing his exposed skin

• Oneshoe twirls a wand and casts fireball

  • one of the oozes seems unaffected by the spell while the other two dodge slightly
  • the acid jelly melts into a sad jelly pile

• the prismatic pudding whacks Joaquin injuring him

• seeing Joaquin in danger, Prince Derendil moves over and hacks the pudding to death

• Ront strikes thrice again, while on his third swing he puffs his chest big before pulling his blade clean through

• the partyrew takes it easy while they try to figure out where

• Glabagool mentions that the oozes have been telling him to join them

  • Oneshoe pats him as a proud mother does
  • Glabagool reaches out through the ooze network ™️to ask about the location of the pudding king
  • the network responds, saying that the pudding king is very, very, close

• Bon tends the wounds of partyrew members as Kyem scouts the likely location of the Pudding King

Throne Room of the Pudding King 👑

• he sees a cave covered in green slime

  • inside the cave sits a slime covered throne, with the Pudding King resting upon it
  • the King is flanked by two very strong oozes
  • four other oozes are in the throne room

• the partyrew tries to stealth into the throne room

  • Glabagool and the earth elemental stay back as the partyrew makes their approach

• Oneshoe initiates combat with a blindingly bright streak of light, which erupts into a fireball

  • the flames billow around a sphere near the blue slime flaking the pudding king, causing no damage

• Eldeth fires an ensnaring bolt against one slime, damaging it but failing to restrain it

Oneshoe retorts

• Bon wildshapes into a horse after conjuring woodland beings
  • when he dashes towards the enemies, his aura appears to diminish as he approaches one of the slimes
  • he continues dashing forward
• Droopy performs a short rite to find a steed
  • he mounts his blessed dire wolf and moves closer to the king
• Cynlant moves right up next to the Pudding King, preparing to smite him but holds it
  • he realizes his magic will have no effect in the antimagic aura
  • when Cynlant is about to land a blow with his dagger, the Pudding King conjures glowing barriers around himself and his slimes
  • the Pudding King retaliates by summoning green slime on top of Cynlant
• Yvelia enters a state of innate sorcery as she hastes Prince Derendil
• Prince Derendil moves towards the Prince Livid (the antimagic slime) but he feels his speed leave him as he approaches
  • frustrated, he turns to the Pudding King and strikes at him twice
  • for both attacks the Pudding King summons a magical shield around himself and his princes
• the Pudding King summons a Cloud Kill
  • it hurts many of the partyrew members
• Oneshoe tries to use the magic within her sword on the Pudding King
  • since he is within the antimagic field, it fails to have any effect
• Ally fires off an eldritch blast which goes wide
• the green ooze lets out a terrifying screeetch
  • many partyrew members recoil in pain at the sound, incapacitated
  • Ally faints from the pain
• Bon dashes back through the fight, having his woodland beings swipe at the green slime (Princess Ebonmire)
• Droopy ride his celestial mount towards Prince Derendil, who licks him into better health
  • after the lick, Droopy looses two javelins at Prince Livid
• the Pudding King looks at Yvelia and attempts to disintegrate her
  • she redirects the attack with to the green slime
• Oneshoe casts a spell on the Pudding King but he manages to shrug off its effects
• Princess Ebonmire strikes at Cynlant with her pseudopods
  • Cynlant conjures a magical shield to block one of the attacks
• the allied Earth Elemental finally makes it into the fight
  • it fires a projectile at Princess Ebonmire, who look as if they are schlurping apart
• Glabagool, who is very polite, uses a healing word on Ally
• Yvelia fails to dodge a slime from the ceiling and gets hit
• Prince Livid grumbles but doesn’t move
• Eldeth fires bolts at Prince Livid, causing its form to weaken and jiggle
• Bon runs past Princess Ebonmire, immediately causing her to melt into a puddle
• as Bon runs past the Pudding King a magical energy shield him and Prince Livid
  • a horse form Bon ponders the nature of the magical shield
• Ront advances and uses kills Prince Livid with a javelin
  • it dies with a squelch

The Pudding King

• his form melts down, then grows into a giant HUGE slime

• Ront strikes at his new form, hurting him

• the Pudding King moves over to Ront and engulfs him

• Cynlant, seeing his comrade in arms down, reaches into the Pudding King and thundersteps away

• Droopy cures Ront’s wounds and heals him back to his feet

• the Pudding King moves to Joaquin

• Yvelia conjures doom of poor fortune on the Pudding King

• the Pudding King moves over to Bon and engulfs him in all of his horse glory

  • he then strikes the Yvelia, causing her to lose concentration

• Oneshoe places her fingers on her head and sends Raulothim’s Psychic Lance

  • the Pudding King is incapacitated which makes Bon seem looser within him

• Ally yells at Cynlant if he wants to swap places which they do

• the earth elemental reaches in to the Pudding King and pulls out Bon

  • it is singed by the acid of the Pudding King

• Bon enters his starry form of the dragon using his breath weapon

  • he then runs away, returning to his human form

• Cynlant flies above the Pudding King, stabbing him twice before moving away off

  • the rest of boyscouts hurl many javelins at the Pudding King

• Yvelia fires off four eldritch blasts as she runs away from the Pudding King

• Prince Derendil throws a dagger, knocking the Pudding King out of his giant form

• Oneshoe keeps him disabled by mentally blasting him

• Glabagool punches him to death

• Oneshoe asks Glabagool if he still hears voices
