Expedition to Entemoch’s Boon Day 1

• all of the partyrew plans to join the expedition

• last minute preparations are made

  • provisions, adventuring gear, and the like

• Droopy uses a magical comb to change Oneshoe’s hair to a bright orange

• Upon seeing this, Bon begs for him to change his hook horror’s colors

  • Droopy moves in, deftly dodging a bite to change half of Slicer’s (the one hook horror’s) whiskers to green
  • Francine (the other hook horror) still has naturally colored whiskers

• on their way out, the partyrew stops by the tavern

  • Oneshoe says her goodbye to Tappy Foamstrap

• after navigating their way through the labyrinthine gate, the partyrew returns to the cold, musty, Underdark

• the first half days journey is mostly uneventful

• Bon forages various mushroom rations along the way

• Cynlant keeps watch

• Jim Jar and Oneshoe teach lessons to the little ones

  • Glabagool is very excited to learn about poker
  • Slicer and Francine squak and squeak

Entemoch’s Boon Expedition Day 2

• breaking down camp is uneventful
• as partyrew makes their trek, Cynlant spots a humanoid dragon-like being
• the entity stares down Cynalnt
  • it has golden scales, donned in full plate armor
  • the chest of the plate armor has the insignia of a platinum dragon
• Cynalnt shares the details of his oath
  • with a wave of his hand he magically reveals the celestial tattoo on his back, the marker of his devotion

You have passed your first trial. It is now time for your second.

The very confident golden dragonoid says in celestial.

Do not interfere.

The dragonoid speaks in common he unsheathes his weapons.

BDE (Big Dragon Energy) 🐲

• Cynlant flies forward with his cloak, striking at his foe

• his first attack is parried, but his second manages to find its quarry

• subtly Bon influences the dragonoid, causing him to miss his next attack

• Cynlant smells a whiff of sulfur before he is blasted by the creatures fiery breath

• the rest of the partyrew sits and enjoys the show

  • Bon, Eldeth, Slicer, and Francine crumble mushrooms into a popcorn like shape
  • Yvelia and Ally prestidigitate the mushrooms to taste of salt and butter
  • Oneshoe and Jim Jar spread an ooze resistant sheet over Glabagool, and take a seat
    • the banter together, along with Yl’lib
  • the boyscouts cheer on Cynlant

• the strikes come fast and strong between the two

  • flame and radiant energy go back and forth betwixt them

• when Cynlant is about to strike the dragonoid, a magical shield apparates, blocking the strike

  • Cynlant retorts “I know that one!”
  • Cynlant is almost hit, but uses shield to block the attack

• the partyrew continues to cheer for Cynlant

  • Yvelia and Ally use thaumaturgy to create a stadium like applause

• eventually, the dragonoid takes a knee and speaks

You fought well, this trial is over.

• the dragonoid places one clawed finger on Cynlant forehead

  • a wave of healing washes over him

• an intense and strong presence surround Cynlant

  • his curse (can’t crit) is removed

• a bright divine light sits envelops the party, and when it ceases the dragonoid is gone

• Oneshoe asks Yvelia if she has ever had to duel a follower of Mr. F

  • she mentions that “Followers of Mr. F fight in the stock market, not on the battlefield”

• the partyrew sans Cynlant gets slightly agitated that Cynalnt’s curse was healed but no one elses

End of Expedition Day 2

• Cynlant prays at the end of the day that Yvelia’s drooling problem is healed
  • a voice responds “Vorthas says you fought well”
• Yvelia communes with Mr. F, asking to be healed
  • a weakened Mr. F thinks for a bit, then tells her
  • “My power wanes, this is the last I can do, until you find the black gem”
• Oneshoe asks Yl’lib if she can have anything
  • he gives her a single whisker
  • She uses it to misty step onto Cynlant’s shoulder
  • He throws her out, slightly bruising her
• Bon leaves camp with his hook horrors
  • he wildshapes into a hook horror to try to teach them how to hunt
  • he returns with his children to camp, all with rats in their mouths
  • in human form Bon gnaws but does not swallow the rat

Card Shenanigans

• as the partyrew starts their journey Bon declares that he wants to draw a card

• an hour after, the card magically draws itself

• the partyrew decides to also draw cards

• The Moon

  • Bon gains dark vision and a secret additional effect

• The Depths

  • an all consuming maw opens in the card
  • Yvelia always falls in water 20ft/round

• The Corpse

  • Sleep of the dead, when she sleeps she appears as if dead
  • she is forced to sleep 8 hours
  • no nonmagical effect can wake Oneshoe
  • the effect is cleared upon death

• Flames

  • a powerful devil becomes Cynlants enemy
  • the devil seeks his ruin and attempts to ruin him
  • the effect ends if either one is slain

First Way Marker

• around mid day, the partyrew finds the location of the supposed first way marker
• Oneshoe thought she got close to finding it, but it did not lead anywhere
• the partyrew continues searching for the rest of the day

End of Day 3

• tired, the partyrew sets up camp
• Oneshoe looks as if she’s dead

• the partyrew tries yet again to search for a waymarker
• Oneshoe inspires the partyrew to search better
• Bon guides the party
• at the end of a tunnel Oneshoe notices a peculiarly stacked grouping of rocks
  • the partyrew continues down a tunnel adjacent to the rocks
• they continue searching, until eventually Bon, Cynlant, and Joaquin find another promising tunnel
• at the end of the tunnel two statues of Svirfneblin are flanked by hundreds of tunnels
• the partyrew sets up camp and rests

• after a hearty mushroom breakfast, the partyrew searches
• near the end of the day the partyrew finds a tunnel entrance hidden behind a rock formation
• the tunnel leads to a cavern with a high ledge

Entemoch’s Boon

• at the center of the cavern lies a summoning circle
  • it appears that no sapient creatures have been there in a long time
• Bon finds various petrified rats around the cavern
  • they appeared to be turned to stone while in motion
• Oneshoe investigates the circle
  • she arcanely divines that the circle would aid in summoning creatures from the elemental planes
  • the circle is Entemoch’s Boon
• Cynlant sends a message to Gurnick Tapfinger about the partyrew’s success
• the partyrew deliberates on their next action
• Oneshoe suggests that Bon pulls a critter out of his hat of tricks
• Cynlant and Oneshoe plan to descend down towards the circle, after Bon’s conjured frog hops about for a bit
  • they cast identify and detect magic
  • everything is as expected
• suddenly, Cynlant, Oneshoe, and Glabagool hear 16 feet stomping towards them
  • two basilisk appear

Basilisk

• Yvelia dumps her stone and begins to float into the air
• Prince Derendil RAGES then leaps off the ledge
  • he falls prone then attacks
• Glabagool fires off an ooze projectile
• Ront grabs Droopy and leaps off the edge with him
  • Ally reacts and casts feather fall on the two of them
  • Droopy manages to strike one Basilisk, badly bruising it
• Joaquin conjures a faerie fire which fails to latch on to the enemies
• Bon turns into his starry form, and throws an arrow
• Eldeth approaches the ledge and readies her weapon
• Oneshoe attempts to cast suffocate on a Basilisk
  • it suffocates a rock instead
• the two Basilisks miss their attacks
  • the strikes against Cynlant deflect off of his armor
  • the strikes against Prince Derendil are deflected by his axe
• Jim Jar fires bolts at one of the Basilisks, injuring it
• Yvelia briefly flashes as she swaps places with one Basilisk
  • it falls, breaking a few of its legs
• Bon fires off a guiding bolt then an arrow
• Prince Derendil stares at a Basilisk, striking at it while his body begins to seize up
• Ally swaps places with Yvelia after shouting “Anything for you Boss!”
• Ront brutally strikes at one of the Basilisk, cleaving it
• Droopy moves over to the last Basilisk, averting his gaze and striking at it
• Jim Jar attempts to fire a crossbow bolt but it misses
• Yvelia swaps places with the last Basilisk, causing it to crumple to its death
• Prince Derendil flexes his muscles, shaking off the petrification
