Day 12

Gauntlet of the Gorgon’s 🐍 Lair

• the medusa begins to speak
  • her skin shimmers as if marble
  • her silver rapier glints in the lava light
• the slithering servant of the cambion has the face of Tigil

It was quite a hassle to find you, after you slayed the to others

Arah, The Medusa

• Zeltymmyr (?? ask B for spelling) conjures black ichor from her arms
  • the ichor takes form, as the shape of frog like demons
• Oneshoe goes back and forth with the Arah, feigning ignorance about the slaughter of her comrades
• Arah metions how her leader the Salasstith, the marilith wants the partyrew, mostly dead possibly alive
• stealthily, Cynlant forms a pact with the Hammer of the Deep King
• Oneshoe initiates combat
  • “I remember what I did when we killed your friend Tigil, it was something like this”
  • a hypnotic pattern forms in front some of the fiends
  • only the toad-like beings were affected

Lava Shenanigans

• Prince Derendil RAGES and dashes at the slithering tracker with the face of Tigil
• Cynlant p u m m e l s Arah into the lava by throwing the hammer
  • he sprouts wings to chase after her, but fails to penetrate her magical defenses
• Ront eats a bygmy mushroom 🍄, growing to great proportions
  • he strikes at a half petrified drow, immediately causing it to crumble
  • Ront stands confused for a second, before moving to strike the stone giant
• the slithering tracker tries to wrap itself around Prince Derendil but fails
• Oneshoe viciously mocks the Zeltymmyr, then gives a little jazz hands to inspire ✨ Droopy
• Droopy joins the fray, but not before he eats a bygmy mushroom
  • he strikes at a statue with a brilliant light at one of the half petrified
• Bon looks at the Arah’s feet, and conjures a tidal wave 🌊
  • the wave knocks her prone and partially encases her in lava
• Glabagool mimics Oneshoe and viciously mocks Zeltymmyr
  • it fails, then inspires Yvelia with a little wiggle
• after getting slapped back to consciousness by Kyem, Yvelia tosses her stone at the feet of the stone giant
  • she immediately begins to float upwards, upon which she steers herself over the lava
  • a negative image over her appears in the air, as she swaps places with the stone giant, causing it to fall prone and simmer in the lava
• an enraged and encased Arah points, at the partyrew members on the bridge
  • a sparkling bolt of energy flies out, exploding 🔥
  • all of the people on bridge look singed
• Joaquin tips his cowboy hat before firing at a drow
  • it’s stone begins to crumble
• Jim Jar somehow hides behind Glabagool, and fires off multiple arrows
• Zeltymmyr starts walking then abruptly misty steps next to Oneshoe
  • she stabs at Oneshoe, but all of her attacks are deftly dodged
• Arah conjures arcane orbs to assault Cynlant
  • his swift arcane shield protects him
• the stone giant stands up from within the lava, and trudges back to cool land
  • On land it strikes at Bon, bruising him
• Eldeth begins to stab the stone giant
  • it’s form is crumbling molten stone
• Prince Derendil continues to hack away at the slithering tracker
• averting his gaze, Cynlant flies over top Arah
  • he throws his hammer 🔨 down upon her
  • she summons a magical force to deflect the hammer
  • black ichor spouts from Cynalnt’s back, taking the form of a key
  • Arah stabs at Cynalnt, who dodges out of the way
• a befuddled Ront looks around, then moves to swing at the stone giant
  • his first attacks finds no purchase against the stone
  • his second attack critically strikes the stone giants leg, causing it to crumble
  • he turns around, bloodlust in his eyes and crushes another half-petrified combatant
• the slithering tracker aimlessly attempts to wrap around Prince Derendril
  • he scoffs at the mere attempt of it
• Yl’lib attempts to push Zeltymmyr into the lava
  • he fails, but follows up with bites and scratches
  • Zeltymmyr protects herself with an arcane shield
  • Yl’lib grins as his form dissapates then appears next to Droopy
    • the last part to disapear and reform is his asshole
• Oneshoe farts on Zeltymmyr, causing a thunderous wave that pushes Zeltymmyr back into the lava
• Droopy joins in on the carnage with Prince Derendril
  • the radiant energy of Droopy’s blade goopifies the slithering tracker
• Bon whails on Zeltymmyr with a guiding bolt and starry arrows
• Glabagool mocks Zeltymmyr, garbling “you fell in lava, idiot!”
• Yvelia blasts at Arah, only slightly damaging her
• Arah’s snake hair bites at Cynlant
  • they manage to bite pieces of him
  • Arah thrusts with her rapier at Cynalnt, missing his feet
• Jimothy Jarson holds steady and fires two crossbow bolts at Zeltymmyr
  • they miss! :(
• Joaquin explodiates 🤯 the remaining stone statue with a crossbow bolt
  • He fires a second bolt at Zeltymmyr
• upon being hit by Joaquin’s bolt Zeltymmyr plane shifts, not before sputtering out
  • “I will remember this”
• Eldeth begins to fire bolts at Arah, slightly damaging her
• Prince Derendril runs behind one of the Hezrou, hacking at it
  • both attacks connect, but his weapon does less damage then he expects
• Cynlant continues to rain hammer blows down upon Arah
• Ront advances towards Arah, swiping at her with his axe
  • his attacks sink into her critically injuring her
  • his final blow cleaves at the waist
• as Arah’s body collapses, her marbled skin melts into a black ichor
  • Ron’t recognizes that stronger demons return to the abyss on death

Sword ⚔️ in the Stone 🪨

• the partyrew begins to short rest while the boyscouts attempt to free the sword in the stone
• Cynlant identifies that the sword has magically been enchanted with flesh to stone
  • Ront fails to pull the sword
  • Cynlant, helps pull the sword from the stone, it is an obsidian long sword
• Ront hands Prince Derendil Rime-Cleaver as he dons the obsidian sword
• the partyrew collect heads
  • hezrou
  • Kyem delves into the lava to pick up the stone giant head
    • Yvelia power oil over it, which causes it to erupt in flames
• the partyrew gathers a portion of obsidian
  • Yvelia eldritch blasts the stone

The Journey Continues

• once on the road, Cynlant begins to explain the logistics of demon plane travel
• Joaquin continues to guide the party to Blingdenstone

Oneshoe

• everyone else concurs

Earth Elementals

• as the party enters a seemingly familiar cavern, four elemental beings take form from the cavern floor
• Bon clicks his heels, then dashes past two of the elementals
  • 2-dimensional Bons dance as aggressively as they pass by
• giddy as ever, Ront swings his glimmering obsidian blade at the one of the foes
  • it starts to crumble
• the uninjured elementals step back, then roll into partyrew members
  • two roll into Bon then smack him
  • one rolls into Droopy
• Cynlant runs into to rescue a surrounded Bon, slashing at the elementals with his sword
• Joaquin stabs at the elemental which Ront is engaged with
• Eldeth helps Droopy by stabbing the elemental attacking him
• Yvelia blasts at one of the elementals, causing it almost crumble
• Prince Derendil uses his new axe to wail into the elemental Droopy and Eldeth are attacking
• Oneshoe identifies the creatures as Galeb Duhr and Xorn
  • she eldritch blasts one of the Galeb Duhr
• Jimothy James looses arrows from his shortbow at a near by Xorn
• Glabagool flops towards a Xorn, slapping it with it’s pseudopod
• Bon emanating spirits twerk the Xorn and Galeb Duhr adjacent to him to death
• Ront fells a Galeb Duhr, as the last one crumbles to death

Exposition on Elementals

• the partyrew speculates on why the elementals attacked
• Jim Jar pipes up, mentioning that the elementals are used in Blingdenstone for labor, defence, and other miscellaneous tasks
