Day 11

The Oozing Temple

Caved in Entrance

• Bon and Oneshoe investigate the cave in
  • any attempt to dig out would cause a cave in
• on the newly opened passageway lies a rough stone pathway
  • thin vapours of faerez swirl about
• the partyrew decides to march through the new pathway
  • they come to a fork, with one path being finished stone and the other being rough
  • they proceed down the nicer path

Hot 🔥 Oooze

• a thick substance drips from the ceiling
  • Oneshoe reaches out to catch a drop
  • the drop burns 🔥 , as more ooze begins to collect around her
• suddenly, a golden ooze begins to take form in the center of the chamber
• Bon hastily conjure a tidal wave 🌊 , hurting the ooze
  • the faerez reacts, to Bon’s spell summoning, causing 2D mirror images of him to fortnite dance next to him
• Yvelia zones out briefly, as Kyem slaps her back to attention so she can blast it
• Oneshoe viciously mocks the Ooze, hoping that “it gets lint and hair inside of it”
• Joaquin and Eldeth begin to shoot and stab at the Ooze
  • the slashes of Eldeth’s scimitar harmlessly breeze through it
• the boyscouts collectively hack at the ooze, their clothes beginning to smolder as the splashback hits them
  • while they cringe from the heat, the ooze’s form starts to waver
• a flaming tendril CRASHES into Eldeth, almost downing her
• Prince Derendil stabs at the ooze, barely damaging it
• Bon attempts to cover the ooze with fairy fire
  • the purple essence burns off
• a half-focused Yvelia blasts the ooze four times, only landing three of here eldritch bolts
• the boyscouts land the killing blow

The Water Rises

• the remains of the warm ooze seep into the partyrew’s boots
• water begins to quickly rise, causing the partyrew picks up their speed
• emaciated remains float in front of the party,
  • as the partyrew gets closer, the floating remains shimmer, then telepathically speak
• it’s name is Glabagool, and it only recently learned to speak
• Oneshoe begins to teach the ooze about the world
  • it knows nothing, and blocks the path
• it incorrectly assumes all the partyrew are creatures called “oneshoes”
• after a while of the water rising, Bon tosses a pygmy mushroom onto the Glabagool
  • confused, the mushroom slowly dissolves and causes the ooze to shrink
• Glabagool is convinced to march on with the party, as Oneshoe begins to explain the world to it

Another Dripping Ooze

• eventually the party reaches another room where a thick ooze drips from a crack in the ceiling
• Oneshoe continues to explain morality to Glabagool, to little effect
• The Warlock Consortium blasts the source of the ooze dripage
  • a thick black ooze takes form
• the partyrew begins to wail on the monstrosity with their might and magic
  • the insults from Glabagool and Oneshoe cause no effect to the ooze
• after Bon conjures a wave over the ooze, the faerez sharply reacts around him
  • he turns to Eldeth, scared, and runs away screaming
• the magical attacks all seem to dissipate as they hit the ooze
• the black ooze releases six attacks in *RAPID succession at Ront, badly bruising him
• eventually, the ooze falls to the axe of Prince Derendril

Source of the Flood

• now rushing, the partyrew comes to a bend in the passageway
  • on one side lies rough hewn stone, where the water is flowing from
  • on the other side lies four smaller stone tunnels
• the group turns into the source of the flooding
• Bon and Yvelia look at the crack in the ceiling, from which the water is flowing
  • Yvelia is clueless, but Bon deduces that there are 10 hours until the cavern is flooded
• the partyrew begins to debate how to handle the flooding
  • Yvelia realizes she can magically provide air for everyone
• the partyrew turns back to the four smaller stone tunnels

Splitting the Partyrew

• the partyrew split into four groups
  • Eldeth and Bon
  • Joaquin, Derendril, and Yvelia
  • Cynlant, Ront, and droopy
  • Kyem, Oneshoe, Glabagool, and Jim Jar
• a floor panel caves away in Eldeth’s and Cynlant’s tunnels
  • they fall but the people behind them are able to lift them up
  • a thin ooze has eaten away the stone floor tiles
• the members of the two other passages notice false tiles in front of them
  • all partyrew members manage to jump over the tiles or, in Bon’s case wildshape and fly

Fountain Chamber

• the partyrew members come upon two large stone doors
• past the doors lies a large chamber
  • in the center of the chamber is a fountain with brackish water
  • the fountain contains the remains of a clawed statue
• at the edges of the room, there are small niches
  • water floods from one of the niches
  • four of the other niches contain amorphous stone statues
• Oneshoe decides to dig through the pond with mage hand
  • Cynlant picks her up by the scruff as she fishes with mage hand
• After fishing out treasures, Oneshoe decides to touch one of the amorphous statues with her mage hand
  • it springs to life as a small grey ooze, which the partyrew swiftly strikes down
• the partyrew returns back to the original fork, by tunnel cave in
  • it leads to a dead end

Return to the Source

• the partyrew return to the source, as Jim Jar and Oneshoe begin to struggle to climb through the water
• Yvelia conjures air bubbles over every partyrew member’s head
• the faerez reacts to Yvelia, which she uses to conjure fireworks that say “Thank you Mr. F”
• the partyrew begins to swim up through the water, up into a river
  • after a short but exhausting swim, the partyrew reaches the shore
• the boyscouts start drying themselves with a bonfire
  • Yvelia prestidigitate herself dry
• Joaquin starts to guide the partyrew down the river
• Oneshoe decides to swim in the river, carried down the river by Cynlant with a rope
  • she hands Cynlant her fake leg, which he carries with his free hand
• a soaked Yl-lib looks at Oneshoe in pure disgust

Continued Day 11

• suddenly Cynlant falls into a stupor, as his patron speaks to him
  • she wishes for him to visit her in Gehenna since “The material plane is not safe these days”
• somewhat confused, Cynlant asks the other half of the warlock Consortium (Yvelia) if she knows anything about Gehenna
  • Yvelia is cautious about visiting that plane, and meeting another powerful being
  • Cynlant reaches out to his dad, who cautions him against it
• a enthusiastic Yvelia explains the plane of Gehenna to Oneshoe and Glabagool

Corpse in the Road

• Yvelia and Cynlant notice a corpse lying in the road unnaturally posed in the road
  • blood is pooled around the body, which spouts bat-like wings
• the partyrew begins to approach the body, noticing beak shaped wounds in the succubus’ cheeks
  • Bon identifies them as the wounds a Vrock would cause
• Cynlant pulls an onyx pendant from the corpse
• Bon begins to saw the wings, first casting speak with dead on the corpse
• the partyrew begins to ask question
  • her name is Ligtig
  • she was killed by Vrocks
  • her mission was to find her master
  • her master was a demon prince (she was being purposefully vague)
  • she did not know the master of the Vrock’s who slayed her
• Cynlant identifies some of the magic on the pendent
  • the pendent enables the wearer to summon a fiendish servant
  • another enchantment, which he is unable to discern, is on the object
• after explaining the object to the partyrew, Cynlant pockets the item
• the boyscouts huck the dead body into Glabagool, who begins to digest it

End of Day 11

• at the end of the hectic, draining day, the partyrew set’s up camp
• Cynlant decides to slink of, and ask Baphomet if he can identify a curse
• Yvelia, pulls off Oneshoe to talk about picking up random strangers to be friends
  • after much back and forth, Yvelia fails to convince Oneshoe to be more responsible

Deck Drawin'

• the core party decides to draw cards from The Deck of Minor Boons and Inconveniences to bond
• yvelia draws a stone card
  • a mystical stone appears on her, when she doesn’t have the stone on her, she floats upwards for 20 ft per round for 1d4 minutes
• bon draws the fates
  • whenever he rolls a natural 1, he may roll again, if he rolls two natural 1’s, the boon ends
• Cynlant draws the hearth
  • he can summon a permanent cottage once, which has food
• Oneshoe draws the savant
  • she loses strength but becomes even more charismatic

Cynlant’s Dream

• in his sleep, Cynlant sees goblins playing near a tree as they washed over by a goopy ooze
• eventually, it begins to wash over him too, as he is startled awake
• he feels uneasy, since the pace felt familiar
• Droopy on the other hand, seems hardier than before
• a benevolent, yet commanding voice speaks into Cynalnt’s mind
  • “Do not betray my trust, and do not ask for more without an offering”

Day 12

Sword in the Stone: Lava Edition

• the partyrew marches onwards, as the tunnel they’re in gets increasingly hotter
• eventually, they see a large open cavern, full of lava pools
• in the center of the cavern a purple stone sits, containing a sword
• Oneshoe promises to not throw ball bearings into the lava
  • an overjoyed Yvelia hands Oneshoe oil of slipperiness
• the partyrew begins to inch closer to the sword
  • statues surround the sword in the stone
  • the statues appear to be carved, with one being a Stone Giant
• Cynlant mentions that he feels comfortable when the statues come alive, since the partyrew is friendly with the stone giants
  • Dismissively, Yvelia says that the Underdark has gotten to him
• voices come in from the distance
  • the effeminate commander of the Demigorgon’s speaks

We finally meet again

• a giant medusa enters the cavern from a different entrance
