Journey to the East Cleft

• droki sometimes gets messages to fishers at the docks
• sometimes he gets messages from droki in (hall of scrolls???)
• boyscouts are in oneshoes bag of holding, within her leg compartment
• yvelia disguises as a derro, cylnant casts tongues on her

Beaten Duergar

• two guards stand over a duergar they beat
• cynlant hears “that’ll teach him” in dwarvish
• bystanders do nothing but pass him by
• oneshoe asks a smirfblim about what happened to the guy
  • no clue
• oneshoe tosses a healing word at the unconscious duergar

First Gate Crossing

• oneshoe and bon try to get by the guards
  • they bumble in undercommon and show their badges
• yvelia walks by and gets spit at

Space Between

• the furrow is mostly populated by duergar
• the guards begin to investigate bon and oneshoe, but are promptly shown badges
• bon, oneshoe, and yvelia begin to travel into the ravine
• miners are seen traveling out with containers
• two large gates block the entrance deeper into the cleft
• more guards stop oneshoe and bon on their way

The Great Gates

• two duergar guards man the gates, warn oneshoe and bon that derro live past the gates
• yvelia trails behind them, experiences more good old underdark racism

The East Cleft

• bon casts pass without trace on oneshoe and himself
• bon and oneshoe stealth through the streets, they don’t find much
• yvelia asks a derro, they say
  • “No tunnels in the east cleft, maybe they’re in the west”
  • has heard of buppido, likely lives in the west cleft

In the Bag

• the boyscouts dig around through oneshoes stuff
• they play pattycake, sing songs, and just be the best of buds
• eventually, cynlant finds the magical deck
• cynlant draws a devil card
  • gains expertise in persuasion
  • cynalnt can never lie again
  • the effect ends

Exit from the East Cleft

• one guard disappointedly hands the other guard some gold as the surface dwellers leave

Journey to the West Cleft

• abandoned guard towers are near the area
• guards give similar warnings to oneshoe and bon at the gate into the west cleft

The West Cleft

• bon and oneshoe restealth
• they begin to investigate for surface objects and or the tunnel
• a derro with jewelry far too nice for the area is there
• yvelia begins to speak with the derro
  • he was payed for work by the savants
  • the items were delivered by droki
• a wisp and shimmering fog creeps out from scraps of cloth and moldy boxes
• oneshoe lifts a scrap of cloth to see another scrap of cloth
  • she sees a hole in the wall
  • the hole is large enough for a medium sized creature
  • the hole slopes down and becomes a tunnel
• the wisps are faerez
  • the faerez helps to resists the effects of divination

The Tunnel

• the party + boyscouts enter the tunnel
• the boyscouts exit from oneshoe’s leg
• group begins to proceed down the tunnel, with cynlant leading and keeping watch out front
• as the party goes deeper, the faerez begins to grow stronger
• spiral symbols appear on the walls
  • they appear to be non-naturally occurring
• eventually the tunnel opens up into a larger chamber

Large Chamber

• the chamber is lit by the ethereal glow of faerez
• the frequency of the spirals have increased
• all sound in the area is more muted that it should be
• the party tries to stealth, but the boyscouts clank a little in their armor
• one lone derro stands on a mound of bodies

Derro on the Mound

• the party + boyscouts hide behind a corner
• cynlant messages the derro
  • the party recognizes the derro as buppido
• buppido yells, asking who is there
• oneshoe steps out, cynlant casts tongues on oneshoe with her foot
• buppido asks how everyone was able to make it so far, and who we’re working for
• oneshoe recants the tale of bon’s arrest and the groups happenings in the city thus far
  • tells him that we’re working for the city guards
• disappointed, cynlant holds his head in his hands
• buppido casts fireball at oneshoe

Battle

• yvelia blasts buppido for big damage, causing him to start to collapse
• his body begins to shift, as his face elongates and eyes sink in
• buppido transforms into a bodak
• combat continues, with party + boyscout members averting their gazes
• oneshoe gets surrounded by buppido and his minions
  • she pushes them back with thundering wave
• the party proceeds to sweep the floor with the undead

Looting!!!

• cynlant finds damp lizard skin parchment
  • says worship buppido
• on his body he also finds
  • cynlant finds an amulet with runes on it

Ghostly Figure

• the ghost of a gnome rises out of the body of the corpses
• onehsoe tries to rush at the ghost, cynlant stops her
• the ghost and oneshoe begin speaking in gnomish
  • he informs the party + boyscouts all the pile of corpses where slain by buppido
  • he asks that his remains are interred in blingden stone
• the ghost tells oneshoe his ringed severed hand was animated by music, and is now wandering the caverns
• the only other person the ghost saw in the tunnels was a derro with a funny hat
  • most likely droki
• oneshoe asks to keep his ring, as payment for burying what is left of him

Northern Chamber and Tunnel

• various mushrooms litter the northern chamber
  • purple cap with white specs
  • blue caps
• party + boyscouts fail to identify them
• regardless, bon picks them for later use
• tiny bootprints are in the dirt
  • lead into a very small tunnel
• party short rests and recovers
• bon, oneshoe, and droopy travel through the tight tunnel
  • bon wildshapes into a badger
  • droopy gets greased up by his dad
  • oneshoe just squeezes
• the remaining group members decided to investigate deeper in buppidos room

Buppido’s Chamber

• as cynlant leads ront and yvelia deeper, five zombies turn on them
• over rapport spores, cynlant urges the other half of the group to push deeper and join the fight
  • they start rushing, eventually running into a swarm of insects
• ront wails on the worm infested zombie, who eventually goes down

Insect Swarm

• centipedes swarm droopy
• droopy and oneshoe kill two swarms
• suddenly a shambling mound rises from the fungal floor
• oneshoe throws two beads that explode, barely scorching the mound
• the party continually eldritch blast the mound and throw javelins
• after the mound finally collapses, bon and oneshoe gather some mushrooms
