Day Nine
End of Day Nine
- mostly uneventful end of day
- oneshoe tries and fails to fix her mechanical spider
- the boy scouts keep watch for the night
- unprompted, sarith screams out in the middle of the night in pain
- cynlant tries to heal Sarith
- helps but he is still in pain
- oneshoe’s medicine check doesn’t tell much
- cynlant uses lay on hands to cure disease
- doesn’t quite work
- yvelia asks if he was bitten/scratched by the twins
- or if he hungers for brains
- eldeth casts lesser restoration
- doesn’t work
- cynlant messages an asleep Sister, who mentions it might need greater restoration
- she does NOT mention oneshoe (is the situationship over??)
Day Ten - Eleven
- Completely uneventful
Day Twelve
- bon and cynlant try to gather ingredients for a potion
Large Gorge
- deep, seemingly endless gorge
- 70ft across
- the boy scouts push a large boulder down
- takes three seconds to hit
- cynlant ferries the boyscouts, jim jar, and prince derendril
- joaquin levitates while carrying oneshoe and yvelia
- buppido grows spider legs and crawl
- sarith turns into gas
- bon transforms into an ape and carries stool
- cynlant flies down to explore the gorge
Underdark Swamp
- a mucky, mushroom covered swamp cavern
- some magical energy draws cynlant
- oneshoe asks for uppies because of the high water
- cynlant picks her up by the good leg and thunks her over his shoulder
- four lizardfolk congregate
- speak in undercommon, ask who we are
- yvelia responds saying that we are just passing through
- back and forth on who their leader is, and who they’re looking for
- conversation changes to draconic, they’re looking for cynlant
- party backs off, then decides to go back
- the lizards agree to take the partyrew to see the witch
- they guide the gaggle to a cutesy little cottage in the swamp
- the witch has a mutual relation with the lizardfolk
Witches Cottage
“Certainly a lot of you”
- pretty big understatement by the Witch
the witch is Madame Bogcarver
cynlant starts spewing questions at the witch
the witch has something for cynlant, a token made with Lady Nightshade’s Hair
the token allows cynlant to communicate with her easier than using sending
the witch makes magical items for the lizard folk
cynlant tries to have the witch craft him a magical weapon
begs for the enchanted great axe that the chief has
party begins scheming how to get the enchanted axe
oneshoe begins carving glowing quartz into the likeness of Semuanya, the lizardfolk god
manages to convince the chief that the statue and half-plate armor are worth it the axe
oneshoe waddles off with the armor from cynlant, then waddles back like a dog with a large stick with the great axe
cynlant stashes the axe, for a gift later
bon learns that the mushroom growing on him is “pink mushroom” providing him a 10hp damage reduction for poison damage
cynlant tries to convince ront to officially join the boy scouts
- he carves ront’s name into the axe
ront agrees to form a new tribe with cynlant and droopy
the Madame looks at Sarith, and is unable to do anything
End of Day Twelve
- party feasts with the lizardfolk
Day Thirteen
- jimjar is missing
- no response to cynlant’s sending
- one of the lizard folk shows the party where he is
- jimjar is lying in a pool of his own blood
- party tries to discover whodunit
- yvelia tries to investigate Sarith
- has no recollection of anything uneventful
- patryrew + boyscouts buries jimjar, and carves message into his gravestone
Day Fourteen
- uneventful
- everyone is cautions of Sarith
Day Fifteen
Disembodied Voice
- feminine voice calls out,
- “Is anybody there, I’ve been trapped in the dark for so long”
- oneshoe lies about not hearing the voice
- partyrew stealth forward
- a rusted bronze door lies ahead
Entrance to the Lost Tomb
- cynlant pushed open the rusted door
- sparkling of faerez, but without its magical glow
- it emanates a chaotic and unstable energy
- statue of a mage with attendants and slaves in the entrance
- depicts cities of the netheril empire
- footsteps are heard coming up the stairs
- its jimjar!
- knows enough information that is probably him
- cynlant ties up jimjar, who swiftly frees himself
- cynlant uses jimjar like a compass, while holding him by the scruff
- do gnome’s have scruff?
Descent
- patryrew descent down a couple of landings into a room
- a damaged altar sits in the room where jimjar woke
- cynlant doesn’t hear anything through the door
Large Sarcophagus
- the party pushes through two doors to find another room
- an engraved and mosaic Sarcophagus has images of floating cities
- clay jars sit on a table
- oneshoe checks the doors for traps
- bon casts dispel magic on the Sarcophagus
- cynlant investigates the Sarcophagus before opening it
- a painted life-sized statue looks like it sleeps within
- a voice booms out, cursing us for disturbing the tomb of Brysis of Khaem
- in the clay jars are dessicated organs
- the party agrees to come back and collect the statues head
- the party moves on to a different room with smaller sarcophagi
Small Sarcophagi
- small room with four sarcophagi
- no magic from the sarcophagi
- as the sarcophagi open, a spectre emerges from each
- partyrew is clumped up in the room
- partyrew beats the spectres
- the boyscouts open the sarcophagi and find loot
- the party begins investigating the sarcophagi
- one of them has rollers and is covering the hole
Another Sarcophagi
- another large and well decorated sarcophagi lies in the chamber
- a wraith rises from its tomb
- bon throws a squirrel at the wraith
- combat begins
- the wraith tries to suck energy from everyone in the room
- the faerez acts weirdly when sarith casts faerie fire, granting him magic resistance
- the wraith keeps turning invisible
